In 1997 I had a one to one with Gordon Brown and presented concerns about the hundreds of £millions of taxpayer wasted monies on failed computer/IT projects. I followed up with a letter etc and proposed an urgent review of the IT purchasing policy. Those millions have now grown to in excess of £26 Billion of failed NHS/public service computer systems according to recent media reports.

In 2009 Gordon Brown stated that 'we need a code of conduct for MPs'. We still await that code. Chancellor Brown declined to endorse the Democracy Trust code of conduct for MPs in 2001.

As stakeholders in democracy our vision with the support of the people is:

• To achieve a democracy trusted by the people, designed by the people, serving the reasonable will of the people and fully accountable to the people.
